Pendants

Atelierul de istorie, a handmade company specialized in objects inspired by the Dacian and Roman civilization, has several novelties in the category of pendants. They are made of various materials (clay, leather, gems, bone) and render representations of Decebal (the portrait of the Dacian king as seen on Trajan's Column) and the Dacian draco (half wolf, half snake, employed by the ancient Dacians as their war standard). Others are inspired by Roman jewelry items made of precious stones or are made of exotic materials such as camel bone.
The clay pendants are mold-pressed and the leather pendant is stamped and dyed by hand.

Leather DIY projects

I've compiled of list of indestructible that I find useful or good sources of inspiration for leather projects. There are naturally, many more available online, but some are silly and other far too complicated, requiring specialized tools and a lot of know-how. This is a bit of middle ground.
Below are some of my own projects, i.e. earrings which I find very effective (light, warm, and comfortable to wear), easy to make and granting interesting aesthetic effects. See the following previous posts here:
- round earrings with accessories
- coral shaped leather earrings
- leaf -shaped earrings

Leather earrings

Leather is a very friendly medium for artists. Unlike printmaking, ceramics and other "dirty" mediums, leather-working is clean and fun. There is no need for special tools, scissors, awls, and punchers will do - and all you have to think about is design! Here are some of my own attempts at scrap-leather items:

Handmade leather car mirror decoration - draco, the ancient  Dacian wolf standard

Handmade leather "octopus" earrings - intentionally asymmetrical and 3D

Bird-shaped handmade leather earrings

Conceptual leather earrings - "conception"

Handmade leather "helix" earrings - intentionally asymmetrical and 3D
