Atelierul de istorie

Our online shop is almost two-years old and its doing good for such a young age :))

http://atelieruldeistorie.ro/

In 2008 apARTe and VIRTVS ANTIQVA NGOs have started collaborating for an online shop that presents original artworks and handmade products inspired by the civilizations of Antiquity, mainly Dacian and Roman, employing as much as possible natural materials such as leather, textile, ceramics, metal, and glass. The "History Studio" / aka Atelierul de istorie, has been present at several reenactment festivals and events in Romania and is very active online.

Shadow play

I've been introduced into the secrets of shadow theater during a workshop organized for museographers by the National Museums Network Association of Romania. I have thus co-opted a friend and we let our imagination roam wild on a topic related to Antiquity - the story of Perseus defeating the monster Medusa. The technical part was not easy, but the kids seemed delighted, so we deemed it a success.

Sponsor: Kamart.

Ana visited Poland and she liked it there. Her works in this exhibition tell the tale of Toruń, Copernicus, and ginger bread (there will also be a tasting, of the latter, naturally).

Clujul medieval / Medieval Cluj

Ana"

Dacian and Roman art (fair)

Despite the intentional confusion, this was just an art fair with guests from the Dacian and Roman reenactment group, Terra Dacica Aeterna. The organizer of the open air art fair, the apARTe NGO, has secured the small square in front of Mathias Corvinus' birth house for Dacians, Romans, and other artists!
